The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has suspended Class ‘A’ referee Thomas A. McGill from all football-related activities for two months.

The suspension is in connection to a ruling from a protest filed by Mighty Barrolle against LPRC Oilers.

Barrolle were awarded three points and two goals after it was established by the LFA grievance and disciplinary committee that Oilers illegally fielded players Joseph Bontee (jersey #26), Frederick Hope Jarbah (jersey #17), and captain Joseph Dennis (jersey #12), who weren’t registered in the competitions management system (CMS), during an Orange first division match at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on 31 August.

McGill was the fourth official during that match instead of Gleekan Garteh.

FIFA-badged referee Moses Forkpah and match commissioner Jeremiah Saysay were also suspended for two months.

The committee said LFA registrar-general Jeff Cholopleh should be warned to observe his time during the late registration and that additional training be conducted to accommodate teams, whose CMS users, are lacking behind.

The report was signed by chairman Kula Jackson (Cllr.) and members Gabriel Y. Montgomery, Sr. and Joseph Farkollie on 12 September.
