TThe Liberia Football Association, (LFA) has introduced Atty. Kollie Dorko as it’s new General Secretary following an Executive Committee meeting held at Fisebu Lodge in Jacob Town on Tuesday, 6 December.meeting held at Fisebu Lodge in Jacob Town on Tuesday, 6 December.

Atty Kollie Dorko, a lawyer and an experienced administrator who is a financial expert like his predecessor, Isaac T.Z. Montgomery will serve the LFA as Secretary General for four years.

Making the pronouncement following their Executive Committee (EC) meeting, LFA President Mustapha Raji said the new General Secretary comes with plenty of experience.

‘’Today we met as an Executive Committee and you all know the former General Secretary Isaac T.Z. Montgomery tenure ended yesterday and he’ll be engaging in other professional services and so the EC has endorsed Atty. Kollie Dorko after reviewing the appointment.

‘’Atty. Dorko comes with lots of experience in finance and a football player as well…we hope we have the best in the LFA as we move forward,’’ President Raji stated.

In a brief statement, the new LFA General Secretary told reporters he was humbled by the appointment and subsequent endorsement by the EC of the LFA.

‘’I’m very humble as I stated in the EC meeting that the appointment and endorsement is a humbling feeling to contribute to football development.

When asked ‘how does his financial and legal expertise help in his new role as Chief Administrator of the LFA,’ Atty. Dorko said those are going to help ‘’massively’’.

‘’Yes! Those are going to help in a very massive way because as GS you’re the communicative head of the FA and that means I come with both managerial and technical experience.

‘’I also came through the rank and file in my area of finance working as an accountant then Finance Manager before resigning my post and taking up the assignment of GS at the LFA,’’ Atty. Dorko asserted.

In his first public statement following his introduction by the LFA president, the new Chief Executive Officer of the LFA said he’s aware he will be managing people and that comes with understanding finance, gender control and procurement.

Atty. Dorko will serve a four-year tenure after taking over from former FIFA Referee emeritus and financial expert, Isaac T.Z. Montgomery.
